RESTORATIVE TREATMENTS

PROPHYLAXIS

This dental procedure is crucial for stopping the progression of gingivitis and periodontal disease. A typical prophylactic appointment includes:

  • X-Rays

  • Cleaning

  • Examination by the dentist

EXTRACTIONS

Extracting less than ideal teeth prior to chemotherapy or radiation therapy is again a crucial procedure.

By removing the source of infection from a tooth, the child can avoid serious and long term side effects.

Dental x-ray

SEALANTS

This involves painting a tooth-colored acrylic on the surface of the teeth. This "seals" the deep grooves, effectively protecting the tooth from developing cavities.
